Since lockdown, we have been organising our full programme of conferences online. We will continue online until further notice, to ensure we play our part in helping our employees and delegates to remain safe during this time. We are pleased that so many key stakeholders, policymakers and other interested parties - both old friends and new delegates - are taking up the opportunity to discuss public policy issues and network at our impartial seminars. New events are coming on to our conference programme all the time. So there are plenty of opportunities for you to join us if you haven’t already, from wherever you are. UK aerospace following the Sector Deal - innovation, investment and the future shape of the industry

July 2019

The conference focused on the next steps for the UK space sector as the industry sets out its vision for growth in the context of a possible sector deal.

With the UK Space Growth Partnership’s Prosperity from Space Strategy laying the foundation for a space sector deal and national space programme, delegates also discussed what will be needed to achieve its vision of significant growth in exports and inward investment and the practical steps for the industry and its partners to tackle the skills gap whilst continuing to attract international talent, and improving diversity and inclusion in the workforce.

The agenda looks at the future shape of partnerships to enable development of UK spaceports, as well as the wider economic and environmental impact on local communities as they seek to develop clusters in spaceport locations following the Government awarding funding to the four potential spaceports.

Shortly after every Westminster Business Forum seminar, a briefing document is produced. This is distributed to all delegates on the day as well as to our policymaker contacts in government, and to stakeholders more widely.

A seminar publication provides a timely record of proceedings, and acts as a guide to the latest thinking on current policy issues for those unable to be at the event.
