Delegates at this conference discussed the next steps for educating, training and supporting the health and social care workforce.
Following the publication of Health Education England's (HEE) national workforce plan, attendees considered the progress and next steps for HEE and Local Education and Training Boards in ensuring that the workforce has the right skills, behaviours and training - and is available in the right numbers to support the delivery of integrated care and to drive improvements.
Further sessions focused on standards and regulation, following the Francis and Berwick reports and with the planned introduction of revalidation for nurses, as well as improving patient experience and developing leaders at a time of financial restraint.
