Timed as Government consulted on the development of a National Innovation Plan, and as the EU Commission took forward its strategy on supporting the digitisation of industry, this conference examined policy and sector priorities for growing high value manufacturing in the UK.
Sessions brought out latest thinking on key trends and issues across advanced manufacturing, including opportunities for supporting regional investment and growth; latest transformation in manufacturing industry, such as the digitising of the factory and industry 4.0; developing skills and delivering high quality apprenticeships, IP protection and industrial sustainability; as well as key issues around investment.
