This seminar examined the challenges and opportunities within the student housing market.
Delegates assessed the market dynamics and investment opportunities, as well as responses to growing uncertainty around student numbers and increasing competition in the sector.
They discussed the quality and affordability of existing student housing, including issues surrounding maintenance and safety.
Attendees also considered the impact and future of Purpose Build Student Accommodation (PBSA) following the introduction by the Government of the New Homes Bonus, which provides financial incentives for local authorities to introduce PBSA into their areas.
Further sessions looked at priorities for developing new student accommodation in the context of changing student demands - with discussion on affordability and the latest developments in innovative design.
