This seminar considered next steps for improving collaboration between health and social care systems - and the initial performance of integrated care systems.
Delegates at this seminar discussed the performance of new care models, challenges in transforming local health systems and disseminating good practice across the NHS - with the Prime Minister citing the better integration of health and social care as a key priority as part of the announcement of a 5-year funding plan for the NHS.
Further discussion focused on how the move towards more integrated and collaborative health services can be effectively communicated to build local systems - including on the role of local authorities in coordinating the delivery of health services.
