This seminar discussed the next steps for the development and rollout of low emission vehicles and plans to put the UK at the forefront of the design and manufacturing of zero emission vehicles.
Sessions looked at the challenges and opportunities in delivering the ‘Road to Zero Strategy’, including how to provide the infrastructure required to aid the transition to electric vehicles, how best to reduce emissions from the vehicles already on the UK’s roads, and next steps for increasing uptake of zero emission cars, vans and trucks.
Delegates also discussed needs to improve the availability of electric vehicle charge points - as well as the challenges for promoting innovation in hybrid and battery technology, and priorities for attracting investment in new types of electric vehicles.
