This conference brought together key stakeholders and policymakers to consider the next steps for UK spectrum policy and regulation.
The discussion took place in the context of Supporting the UK’s wireless future, the 5G Testbeds and Trials Programme and the 5G Supply Chain Diversification Strategy.
Overall, sessions in the agenda looked at:

- licensing and regulation
- innovation

Discussion looked at international spectrum policy and relationships, with the European Commission’s recently published cross-border spectrum policy and the expected publication of its full proposals on space traffic management.
We were pleased to be able to include keynote sessions with Ed Freeman, Head of Domestic Spectrum Policy, Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport; and Justin Moore, Principal Policy Advisor, Ofcom.
The conference was an opportunity for stakeholders to consider the issues alongside key policy officials who attended from BEIS; Ofcom; the DCMS; UK Space Agency; the Cabinet Office; DfT; DIT; GLD; the Home Office; the Isle Of Man Government; The Scottish Government; and the Welsh Government - as well as parliamentary pass-holders from the House of Commons.
