This conference examined the future for environmental standards and next steps for the Office for Environmental Protection (OEP).


It took place in the context of the OEP consultation on its draft strategy and enforcement policy, as well as the implementation of the Environment Act and the Government’s review of the 25 Year Environment Plan.


We were pleased to be able to include keynote sessions with: Dame Glenys Stacey, Chair, Office for Environmental Protection; Alan Law, Deputy Chief Executive, Natural England; and Dr Jo Nettleton, Chief Scientist, Environment Agency.

The conference was an opportunity for stakeholders to consider the issues alongside key policy officials who attended from the BEIS; the Cabinet Office; Defra; DfT; DAERA, NI; Department for the Economy, NI; Department for Infrastructure, NI; the Environment Agency; Ofwat; Homes England; the Northern Ireland Assembly; the ORR; and The Scottish and Welsh Governments - as well as parliamentary pass-holders from both Houses of Parliament.
