This conference examined priorities for regenerating English towns, looking at:
- how local government and businesses can drive economic growth to recover from the pandemic
- priorities for infrastructure development at a national, regional, and local level
- the implications of the Government’s delayed Levelling Up White Paper and its potential to address issues for England’s towns
- priorities for the Levelling Up Fund following the allocation of the first round, worth £1.7bn
- the impact of government support, such as the Towns Fund and other initiatives intended to help local authorities and England’s towns to recover from the pandemic
