Delegates at this seminar discussed challenges in developing secure and shared standards for patient data across different systems - as well as progress made within the NHS as it adapts to new cyber security threats and legislation concerning the handling of patient data, including the initial response and uncertainty surrounding GDPR.
Further sessions considered how the increased sharing of patient data has improved the delivery of patient care, the opportunities presented by the availability of data to better understand and develop treatment for diseases as well as the attitudes among staff to the increased usage of technology in their work and barriers to uptake of technology within the NHS.
