May 2017

Price: £95 PLUS VAT
Format: DOWNLOADABLE PDF

This seminar provided an opportunity to assess the next steps for biodiversity, wildlife conservation and natural capital, including priorities for natural environment policy in the context of Brexit.

Delegates evaluated the Government’s progress towards delivering a 25-year Environment Plan, as well as the future shape of environmental legislation in the UK, and the central role of the Natural Capital Committee in advising and helping to deliver this. Further discussion considered opportunities and case studies in sustainable land and wildlife management, promoting and managing ecosystem services and creating value from the natural environment through investment and natural capital accounting.

Discussion also covered the investment climate and funding available to charities and collaborative groups looking to deliver environmental schemes, as well as an assessment of the priorities for town planning and future use of green belt land.
