Following NHS England’s launch of Maternity Choice and Personalisation Pioneers, delegates at this seminar considered the key issues in delivering personalised care for new mothers and other recommendations from the National Maternity Review.
Sessions also focused on progress made in improving patient safety - including meeting targets for the reduction of stillbirths and neonatal deaths, the challenges of rolling out NHS Personal Maternity Budgets nationally, achieving continuity of carer across the pathway of care, developing the workforce - following the introduction of revalidation for nurses and midwives - and priorities for further collaboration between commissioners and providers to improve the standard of maternity services across a local area.
