This conference brought key stakeholders from both the regional and national level together with policymakers, to discuss health and social care in Greater Manchester.
Delegates assessed the progress and future of Manchester’s devolution programme in transforming care within the region, the precedent this has set for further health devolution within England, as well as the emerging opportunities to develop Manchester into an international centre for research, collaboration and innovation in the life sciences industry.
Further sessions considered potential options for tackling inequalities at a local level, challenges for primary care and priorities for embedding parity of esteem within the devolution programme.
