Following NHS England and Public Health England’s announcement of ten demonstrator sites for ‘Healthy New Towns’, this seminar assessed the progress made in integrating health with housing across England, in line with commitments to develop new care models in NHS England’s Business Plan 2016/17 and early lessons from pilot sites.
Delegates also considered the potential for joined up design of the built environment with healthcare services; priorities for collaboration between the health and housing workforces; developing the use of data and new technologies to support homecare - with opportunities for tackling isolation and improving care for older people, integrating fire and rescue services with health and key issues for patient and public involvement.
