Attendees at this seminar considered progress on implementing the Government's Cardiovascular Disease Outcomes Strategy, and next steps for service delivery.
Discussion was informed by NICE guidelines which recommend that GPs should start statin treatment for patients with a 10% risk of developing cardiovascular disease.

Further sessions focused on delivering integrated care, management of acute cardiovascular conditions, and the role of Clinical Commissioning Groups, local authorities and Public Health England in raising awareness and increasing prevention.
