This timely seminar gave delegates an opportunity to discuss the progress and next steps for Health and Wellbeing Boards and Public Health England (PHE), and the impact of the return of public health to local authorities.
Timed a year on from the authorisation of bodies in the Health and Social Care Act, speakers and attendees considered the priorities for Health and Wellbeing Boards in reducing inequalities, coordinating local commissioning decisions and delivering integrated services.
Further sessions focused on the progress of PHE in protecting and improving the nation's health, the challenges of implementing the Public Health Outcomes Framework, and how effectively Boards and PHE are working with other organisations such as NHS England and Clinical Commissioning Groups.
