Broadband Britain - funding, 'killer apps' and digital engagement

September 2012

Starting from: £99 + VAT
Format: DOWNLOADABLE PDF

As Government aimed to create the best broadband network in Europe by 2015 and make the UK a 'digital hub' of Europe, but following delays in gaining European Commission approval for local infrastructure plans, delegates at this seminar examined the priorities for improving UK connectivity.
Sessions focused on the rollout of superfast broadband, stimulating consumer demand and the prospects for applications such as telehealth and mobile payment to drive the take-up of broadband services, as well as how to foster a joined-up approach from the private, public and third sectors to promote digital inclusion and the delivery of 'digital by default' public services.
