The UK Government has set a goal of 'making the UK one of the most secure countries to do business'. This seminar, scheduled six months on from the release of the Cyber Security Strategy and the FCO's international London Cyber Conference - and including a keynote presentation from James Quinault, Director, Office of Cyber Security & Information Assurance - offered a timely opportunity for delegates to assess the implementation challenges and progress being made in creating a secure UK webspace.
Sessions focused on delivering increased private and public collaboration and the establishment of the National Cyber Security 'Hub' - including the challenges of implementing cross-sector knowledge sharing to protect critical national infrastructure such as energy, communication and transport networks, the key priorities for the new National Crime Agency's eCrime unit in tackling cyber crime, and options for building on the expertise and experience of the Metropolitan Police.
