The UK's Renewable Energy Strategy: count down to 2020

May 2012

With opinion continuing to be divided over the feasibility of the UK's renewable energy targets - which require 15% of all energy to be produced from renewable sources by 2020 - this seminar provided a timely opportunity to consider both the progress being made and new thinking emerging on successfully achieving the Government's aims. Sessions examined the ability of them to unlock the UK's renewable energy potential, the latest on, and the steps being taken by the renewable energies industry to bring about development, innovation and growth in the sector.

Shortly after every Westminster Energy, Environment & Transport Forum seminar, a briefing document is produced. This is distributed to all delegates on the day as well as to our policymaker contacts in government, and to stakeholders more widely.

A seminar publication provides a timely record of proceedings, and acts as a guide to the latest thinking on current policy issues for those unable to be at the event.
