This seminar examined the future of postal services in the UK - including both the delivery of mail and future prospects for post offices. The agenda was structured to reflect issues emanating from the Postal Services Sector Review's findings, as well as including an examination of the future prospects for the Royal Mail and the UK's universal postal service in the digital age.
With senior contributions from the Royal Mail, Post Office Ltd, Postcomm, the CWU and BIS, discussion focused on the Postal Services Bill contemporaneously before Parliament; the challenges of attracting private capital investment; prospects for future modernisation and the impact the changes would have on consumers of postal services.
