The future of UK agriculture policy

April 2017

Price: £95 PLUS VAT
Format: DOWNLOADABLE PDF

In the context of Article 50 being triggered, this seminar offered an opportunity to assess the priorities for domestic agricultural policy beyond CAP.

On the day, speakers and delegates considered both the opportunities and challenges facing the agrifood sector after the UK leaves the European Union in terms of public investment in the rural economy, sustainable land management, access to labour and international trade. Devolution was also a major focus, particularly how the devolved nations can work together moving forwards to strengthen the competitiveness of UK farming through long-term strategic planning, knowledge transfer and the fair administration of funding, as well as effectively make the case to Central Government on the value of the sector to the economy, environment and to public health.
