The coalition programme for government has identified the development of a smart grid as a key policy. This seminar offers a timely opportunity to examine the transition process. Planned sessions will examine the need to transform the electricity grid by 2050, what technology is required for transition, what can be done to create greater access to electricity networks, and the wider impacts on consumers and industry.
