This seminar will examine the future of the DTT (digital terrestrial television) platform in the UK, the role of Freeview and other bodies associated with DTT post-DSO (digital switchover), and how to promote technological innovation and competition in an increasingly crowded digital television landscape.
Sessions will look at the future of regulation, governance and industry structures in DTT; how to ensure interoperability and technical standards for new products, services and platforms such as next generation HD, 3D and web-enabled set-top boxes; and future approaches to marketing DTT after DSO to ensure it stays competitive. The seminar will also include early findings from the Digital TV Group's consultation on the future of the sector.
