This seminar will look at the next step in policy options for protecting children and young people from the dangers that exist online.

The event will examine ways young people are using digital technologies, and the unique challenges mobile phones, consoles and other devices represent to parents, teachers and policy makers attempting to protect children online. Panels will also examine the progress that has been made by business and providers in developing a clear code of practice to deal with inappropriate material, following Professor Tanya Byron's recommendations in her progress report Do we have safer children in the digital world? - as well as discussing how to ensure children, young people and families are equipped to fully manage their 'digital space'.

We are delighted Alex Nagle, Head of Harm Reduction, Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre and Professor Ian Walden, Chair of the Industry Working Group, UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS) have agreed to deliver a keynote addresses at this seminar.
