Discussion will centre on the practical and policy issues concerned with maintaining a farming industry that is both economically and ecologically sustainable, and able to meet the challenges of climate change, food security and the need to cut emissions.

We are delighted to be able to include in this seminar keynote presentations from: Professor Allan Buckwell, Policy Director, CLA (Country Land & Business Association); Peter Kendall, President, National Farmers' Union; Gwilym Jones, International & Legal Affairs, Cabinet of Commissioner Cioloş, European Commission; Dr Nerys Llewelyn Jones, Associate Solicitor, John Collins & Partners; George Lyon MEP, Liberal Democrat MEP for Scotland and Rapporteur of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development (ComAgri); Peter Melchett, Policy Director, Soil Association; Martin Nesbit, Director for EU and International Agriculture, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Food and Farming Group; Alan Swinbank, Emeritus Professor of Agricultural Economics, University of Reading and Jack Thurston, Co-founder, farmsubsidy.org.
