Next steps for the Oxford-Cambridge Arc

Morning, Wednesday, 27th April 2022

This conference will examine latest developments and priorities going forward for the Oxford-Cambridge Arc.

It will be an opportunity to discuss the Government’s Spatial Framework for the region, as it is prepared for publication in the autumn.

Key stakeholders and policymakers will consider local and national priorities for enhancing the infrastructure, environment and development of the Arc - as well as outcomes of the public consultation on the vision for the future of the area.

We are pleased to include keynote sessions with Bev Hindle, Executive Director, Oxford-Cambridge Arc Leadership Group; and Dr Nik Johnson, Mayor, Cambridge & Peterborough Combined Authority.

The agenda will bring out latest thinking on:

  • the Spatial Framework - local stakeholder perspectives on implementation
  • transport - investment and supporting development, connectivity and inclusive growth
  • developing a local environment strategy - a green Arc and net-zero targets
  • the region’s research and innovation clusters - support, and their role in the future development of the Oxford-Cambridge Arc
