This conference will be a timely opportunity to examine the future of gambling regulation and discuss priorities, with the Government planning a white paper on gambling.
Delegates will discuss priorities for the reduction of online harms and how existing legislation such as the Online Harms Bill has affected the sector and its customers.
Key areas for discussion include:
- policy - priorities for the planned White Paper on gambling
- gambling related harms - latest thinking and initiatives on tackling problem gambling
- consumer behaviour - including the impact of changes during the pandemic
- online regulation - looking at latest developments, impact on the industry and consumers, effectiveness, and scope for change going forward
We are pleased to be able to include keynote sessions with Brigid Simmonds, Chairman, The Betting and Gaming Council - and with senior speakers confirmed from the Gambling Commission and the DCMS.
The conference will be an opportunity for stakeholders to consider the issues alongside key policy officials who are due to attend from the DCMS; Ofcom, the Department for Communities, NI; NAO; and The Scottish Government - as well as parliamentary pass-holders from the House of Lords.
