THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED
This timely seminar will examine the next steps for developing the Teaching Excellence Framework.
It will be an opportunity to examine key themes emerging from the DfE’s consultation on the methodology of the subject-level TEF, with a Government response expected this autumn, as well as to consider how lessons gained from the first year of subject-level pilots can be built upon moving forward and priorities for addressing the administrative burden on universities.
It will also be an opportunity to consider the recommendations from the recent DfE report regarding the design of the subject-level TEF.
Delegates will also discuss the shape of the TEF for year 4 and how the framework can best be developed to ensure flexibility, whilst addressing student and staff concerns around institutional diversity and the link between the TEF and tuition fees.
Further sessions will focus on what further steps might be taken to improve the Framework’s metrics - looking in part at issues around the introduction of teaching intensity and graduate earnings.
