Priorities for regional airports - new routes, economic growth, and improving road and rail connectivity

Afternoon, Thursday, 12th April 2018

Renaissance Marriott, Blackfriars Street, Manchester M3 2EQ

In the context of the National Policy Statement (NPS) for Heathrow expansion and its consultation under review by Government, and with NPS designation expected near the start of 2018, this conference will assess the priorities for airport developments and airspace connectivity across the rest of the UK.

Planned sessions examine the potential impacts and opportunities that a new Aviation Strategy presents for airport operators and airlines, with further discussion on the prospects for improving route connections both in the EU and internationally in the context of Brexit, as well as what a wider review of airspace policy - following the recent Government consultation - will mean for distributing air traffic to other parts of the UK, and prospects for this increasing inward investment and local growth across different regions of the UK.
