THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED
This timely seminar will consider the future for attracting international students to UK universities.
It will be an opportunity to discuss the Migration Advisory Committee’s study of the impact of international students in the UK which recommended that international students should not be removed from migration targets but did call for an easier route into work at the end of their studies and the Government’s Immigration White Paper, which is expected to set out the next steps for the student visa system.
Delegates will consider the future of the visa system - including how universities will adapt to changes following calls for students to be removed from net migration targets, how to ensure international student visa compliance and the future of post study work visas.
They will assess the opportunities and challenges for maintaining the UK’s leading position in attracting international students, including the impact of tailoring marketing strategies to specific regions, future pricing strategies, and the impact of Brexit on the way in which the UK is perceived by international students.
Further sessions focus on the key factor of international student experience and, in particular, at how to promote integration between students on campus, improve support offered by universities and foster effective international co-operation in the future through the development of alumni networks.
