This seminar will bring together policymakers and stakeholders to discuss the next steps for infrastructure projects across the UK - looking at investment, planning and delivery.
Delegates will assess future options for infrastructure policy - drawing together priorities for major projects across sectors involved in transport, telecoms, housing, energy and the environment - following the publication of the National Infrastructure Assessment (NIA).
The conference will bring out latest thinking on key issues for investment, including tackling barriers to financing long-term projects, the role of government investment, the future for Public-Private Partnerships and priorities for building investor confidence and sourcing new funding.
With a government response to the NIA required in the next 12 months, attendees will assess the opportunities for incorporating its recommendations - such as those on Crossrail 2 and Northern Powerhouse Rail - into the National Infrastructure and Construction Pipeline, and the next steps for delivery.
The agenda also examines opportunities for overcoming challenges in the planning process for new infrastructure and increasing the number of projects approved - alongside discussion on how to effectively navigate the system, and issues for collaborative working and engaging with key stakeholders throughout the process.
Further sessions will look at the role of Metro Mayors and combined authorities in securing funding and delivering key infrastructure to drive regional growth and regeneration.
