Priorities for health and clinical research: funding, Brexit and the future for Academic Health Science Networks

Morning, Tuesday, 4th July 2017

Glaziers Hall, 9 Montague Close, London SE1 9DD

THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

Delegates at this conference will assess the future of healthcare research in England - including the impact of the UK leaving the European Union.

Attendees will discuss priorities for funding following the Department of Health announcement of further investment for healthcare research and clinical research facilities. They will also consider the impact of Brexit on the research workforce and regulation, as well as next steps for collaboration between the NHS, academia and industry in light of the Academic Health Science Networks' (AHSNs) current 5-year license expiring in 2018.

Further sessions focus on progress on the 100,000 Genomes Project and stratified medicine, key issues around the use of data and the opportunities for public participation in research and clinical trials.
