Disability and health in the workplace - next steps for bridging the employment gap and improving support for employers

Morning, Thursday, 18th October 2018

Central London

THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

This seminar is bringing together national policymakers with stakeholders to consider the steps that can be taken by employers and policymakers to improve support for those with a disability or long-term health condition.

It will be an opportunity to assess progress and next steps in the Government’s plan to transform the employment prospects of those with a disability, looking at how support across the welfare system, the workplace and the healthcare system can be better joined up.

Delegates will discuss latest thinking, and practical issues for addressing the barriers that disabled individuals face in entering the workplace and advancing in their career, the steps that can be taken to prevent employees leaving the workplace due to poor health, and the further measures that might be put in place to achieve the Government’s ambition to see one million more disabled people in work over the next ten years.
