Policy Forum for London

The future for planning in London - growth, sustainability and infrastructure

Morning, Wednesday, 16th May 2018

Central London

THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

This seminar focuses on the future for London’s planning framework, and its implications for the Capital’s growth, sustainability and infrastructure.

It is scheduled as an opportunity to assess the London Plan, as the GLA considers responses to the recently published draft plan, which includes proposals to increase the supply, affordability and density of new homes - as well as its implication for transport, environment and economic development.

Delegates will discuss what is needed from the Mayor’s final plan, due in 2019, and its potential impact on London’s economic and social infrastructure - looking at key issues around housing, connectivity, culture, regeneration, urban design and public health.

The seminar will bring together senior officials from the GLA and central government departments, alongside representatives from developers, investors, lawyers, consultants, business associations, local authorities, and neighbourhood groups - as well as representatives of the national and trade media.
