Priorities for improving cancer care in England

Thursday, 13th July 2017

Central London

THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

This seminar will be an opportunity to discuss priorities and challenges for improving cancer services and outcomes in England.

Delegates will consider the implementation of NHS England’s Delivering World Class Cancer Outcomes five-year strategy, including the impact of NHS England’s regional Cancer Alliances and the National Cancer Vanguard on the redesign of local cancer services. They will also assess the priorities for cancer research in light of Britain leaving the European Union, and key issues for the Cancer Drugs Fund.

Further sessions will address priorities for prevention, early diagnosis and increasing the uptake of screening programmes; the quality of life after treatment and improving the patient experience and the potential of new funding for radiotherapy to deliver better outcomes.
