Westminster Social Policy Forum

Next steps for blue light service integration - procurement, estates and operations

Morning, Thursday, 17th May 2018

Central London

THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

The seminar will examine the next steps for delivering greater integration of blue light emergency services.

Delegates will consider the potential impact of the Policing and Crime Act (2017), and the practical challenges for implementing the new duty for police, fire and ambulance services to work together more closely. They will also assess future priorities for regulation as HM Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Service (HMICFRS), formerly HMIC, extends their new remit to cover fire and rescue services.

Further sessions focus on key issues around operational integration - including the potential challenges and opportunities for Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) in taking control of fire and rescue services, and the roll out of the Emergency Services Network, as well as the future for co-location of estates and joint procurement.
