THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

This conference will assess the future development of transport policy in the Midlands.

Key policymakers and stakeholders will discuss next steps for developing regional transport governance and infrastructure across the region following the publication of the Midland’s Connect Transport strategy.

Sessions examine the impact of key national infrastructure projects such as HS2, opportunities for economic growth and regional development as part of the Midlands Engine plan, as well as cooperation between national and regional transport bodies.

The agenda also looks at developing integrated and intermodal city-wide transport networks, the integration and use of smart ticketing schemes and new technologies to establish seamless travel across the region, as well as opportunities presented for strategy development as a result of the directly-elected mayors.
