The future for the Midlands Engine

Tuesday, 12th September 2017

Central Birmingham

THIS EVENT IS CPD CERTIFIED

Following publication of the Government’s Midlands Engine Strategy, which builds on the Industrial Strategy, this conference will assess next steps for growing the region’s economy.

Delegates will consider how proposals outlined in the Midlands Engine Strategy - including the launch of the Midlands Transport Strategy, establishment of the Midlands Skills Challenge and other initiatives around infrastructure, enterprise and culture - can best support local growth.

Further sessions focus on the future for financing the Midland’s Engine post Brexit, with a China Trade and Investment Strategy expected to be launched later this year, as well as specific challenges facing the manufacturing sector.
