This seminar considered the next steps for transforming mental health care in England.
Sessions assessed the role of STPs in increasing access to evidence-based mental health services and in integrating care, key challenges for the mental health workforce, and priorities for delivering a whole-system approach to mental health care.
Key discussion points across the morning included:
- Policy priorities - funding, access to services and developing effective care;
- The Prevention Concordat Programme for Better Mental Health;
- Mental wellbeing within the workplace;
- Children and young people’s mental health - looking at care pathways, education and collaboration;
