February 2019

Price: £95 PLUS VAT
Format: DOWNLOADABLE PDF

This seminar will consider the next steps for intelligent mobility and developing a smart transport system in the UK.

It takes place in the context of the Government’s Future of Mobility Grand Challenge and will be an opportunity to assess the outcomes of the recently closed consultation into the future mobility, which considered current trends in urban mobility and how government can best support innovation.

The conference will also examine key measures from the Government’s urban mobility strategy which is expected to be published later this year, as well as what steps might be needed to realise the Government’s ambition for the UK to be a world leader in future mobility.

Further sessions examine the priorities for supporting the electrification of road vehicles, following the National Infrastructure Commission highlighting the need for infrastructure upgrades to create roads suitable for autonomous and connected vehicles.

We also expect discussion on investment for autonomous vehicles, developing rail infrastructure to improve connectivity and providing Mobility as a Service, including how best to support innovation and research into connected and autonomous vehicles - as well as improving the passenger experience, and issues of cybersecurity and protection of personal data.
