Following the publication NHS England’s General Practice Forward View this seminar was an opportunity to assess priorities for implementing its recommendations.
Delegates considered how new funding should be applied to relieve pressures on general practice. They also assessed additional policy developments affecting the workforce including measures aimed to support primary care staffing, improve retention rates and reduce GP burnout.
Further sessions focused on next steps for redesigning care following the launch of vanguard sites, developing fit-for-purpose premises, and the early impact of the new approach to inspecting general practice.
