Price: £95 PLUS VAT
Format: DOWNLOADABLE PDF

Delegates at this timely seminar had the opportunity to discuss next steps for food labelling and consumer information policy in the UK.
Delegates assessed the impact of Brexit on the UK food industry’s preparations to implement the European Commission’s new Food Information to Consumer regulations (FIC) which become mandatory from December 2016 - and the longer term future of labelling policy.
It took place against a backdrop of significant developments in relevant UK food and nutrition policy including the Government’s childhood obesity strategy and Public Health England’s recent sugar reduction report, with proposals including separating free sugars from total sugars on food packaging and clearer portion sizing information.
Further sessions also assessed the future of country-of-origin, after recent calls by MPs for clearer origin labelling to support UK farming and progress on the enforcement of food regulations.
