With the Chief Executive of the NHS setting out plans for an Integrated Personalised Commissioning programme, this seminar provided a timely opportunity to consider next steps for integrating health and social care.
Delegates discussed challenges and opportunities in implementing the Better Care Fund - following Government-announced changes to the regulation of the fund - and considered what early lessons can be taken from the Integrated Care Pioneers.
Further sessions focused on progress and priorities for NHS England, Health and Wellbeing Boards, local authorities and other key stakeholders in working together to improve outcomes, quality of care and efficiency; implementation of the Care Act; as well as challenges for improving data sharing, taking a joint approach to assessments, and training and supporting an integrated workforce.
