This seminar offered a timely opportunity for delegates to examine the public policy issues facing the British fashion industry. Taking place in the context of the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee inquiry, Support for the Creative Industries, the conference enabled discussion of the options for direct and indirect support for the sector by Government, intellectual property challenges in the industry - in the context of the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act and Intellectual Property Bill - as well as the emerging workforce and skills challenges facing the sector.
This event was part of a series of seminars examining the public policy and commercial challenges facing different sectors of the UK's creative economy.
