Planning and development management in Wales: reforms, structures and the changing role of the local authority

February 2014

Starting from: £99 + VAT
Format: DOWNLOADABLE PDF

Timed to follow the release of the Planning White Paper by the Welsh Government released in December 2013, this seminar provided an ideal opportunity for key policymakers and stakeholders - including local authorities; construction companies, architects and surveyors; the wider business community; environmental and energy organisations; and other interested parties - to discuss proposed reforms to the planning system in Wales.
Sessions included perspectives on the Planning White Paper and consolidation of other planning legislation; necessary changes required to institutional arrangements and the likely introduction of regional planning authorities and significant changes to the role of the local authority. Moves towards a 'development management' model were also discussed.
