Following the publication of the finalised new National Curriculum, this timely seminar provided an early opportunity to discuss key issues around its implementation as a whole, ahead of its introduction in September 2014.
Delegates discussed the opportunities for cross-curricular learning within the new curriculum, and the teaching resources required for its delivery. The teacher training implications of the curriculum were also considered, as was the extent to which the curriculum prepares pupils for transitions between Key Stages.
This seminar brought together senior policymakers and officials with key stakeholders including school and college leaders, teacher training academics, awarding bodies, providers of teaching resources, representatives of local authorities and other interested parties.
