Discussion also focused on the teacher training and professional development implications of technological innovations, and the potential for technology to enhance pupil assessment and monitoring of their progress.
The conference brought together key stakeholders - including school and college leaders, technology providers, teacher training professionals, local authority representatives, academics and other interested parties - with senior policymakers to discuss how schools and teachers can adapt to technological change, and the effects on education those changes might have.
