As Parliament scrutinised the Children and Families Bill, this seminar brought together policymakers with stakeholders - including schools, local authorities, health professionals, charities and private providers - to discuss the proposed reform of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision.
Sessions looked at the proposed system of integrated Education, Care and Health Plans, including key challenges for implementation; funding for SEND including the implications of personal budgets; and the challenges of ensuring extended support for young people with SEND aged between 16-25.
