Delegates at this seminar assessed the challenges and opportunities facing NICE, and, following the release of the Pharmaceutical Price Regulation Scheme (PPRS), considered the future of value-based pricing.
Sessions focused on NICE's priorities for the year ahead and beyond, including implementation of the 2014/15 Quality Outcomes Framework (QOF) and, as part of the Institute's ongoing role in supporting NHS England, the Clinical Commissioning Group Outcomes Indicator Set (CCG OIS).
Delegates also considered how well NICE has adapted to its changed role in the reformed NHS; the impact of the NHS Technology Adoption Centre (NTAC) being incorporated into the Institute, and the ways in which NICE Technology Appraisals should continue to encourage the uptake of innovative health technologies, as well as considering NICE's role in public health and social care.
