Timed to take place as the national programme of Personal Health Budgets begins its roll-out, and following publication of the Care Bill - setting out a new legal right for everyone with a care and support plan to have a personal budget - this seminar provided an opportunity to discuss key issues surrounding implementation and personalisation of services.
Delegates discussed the regulation of personal budgets, and the impact they have on health and care outcomes and costs. Sessions explored how budgets fit into the wider personalisation agenda, the move towards integrated health and social care, and the role of Clinical Commissioning Groups, local authorities and NHS England in commissioning and delivery.
